Do you have expertise with AWS? You could be joining a growing and profitable scale-up that is viewed as a leading FinTech disruptor in a senior role that will allow you a great deal of influence and progression.

As a Platform Engineer you will take a lead role in the design, implementation, maintenance and support of the AWS infrastructure and services, collaborating with technical, operational and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure and resilient infrastructure and applications. You will take ownership for infrastructure and platform capabilities, seeking to improve efficiency, optimise costs and address technical debt whilst ensuring comprehensive technical documentation and the development, maintenance and delivery of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

This is a high profile role with stakeholder interaction across all levels of the business, with clear objectives. Initial projects will be on a database migration to AWS and an overhaul of security across the cloud estate.

Location / WFH: There is a hybrid work from home policy, with Monday to Wednesday in the brand new London offices and flexibility to work from home Thursday and Fridays.

About you:

  • You have strong experience in a similar role, working on the delivery and management of AWS infrastructure and services within high performance environments.
  • You have experience with serverless and containerisation technologies: Lambda, Docker, ECS, Fargate.
  • You have experience with CI/CD and containerisation: Terraform, GitHub Actions, Serverless Framework.
  • You can code with Python, TypeScript and/or C#.
  • You are familiar with both Windows and Linux environment administration.
  • You are capable of producing high quality technical documentation suitable for use in design assurance, incident response and support.
  • You are collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills.

Experience with any of the following would also be of benefit: Okta, Snowflake, Datadog, PostgreSQL, Glue, Athena, API Gateway, CloudFront, data networking, including AWS Transit Gateway, Cisco routing and switching technology.
