The core product allows business users to capture data via integrated mobile services utilising video analytics and speech recognition to analyse and categorise information within the workflows of large field workforces (field engineers, field service, auditing, reporting, health-and-safety, sales, etc.); customers are typically large multinationals: utilities, telecoms, manufacturing and facilities management companies.
As a Cloud Operations Engineer you'll help maintain and evolve the AWS cloud infrastructure, monitoring system health, responding to incidents and ensuring platforms remain reliable and resilient. A key part of the role will involve strengthening security and compliance posture, triaging findings, maintaining audit-ready documentation and driving continuous improvement across the environment.
You'll support backup and recovery testing, track remediation actions and improve operational resilience, while also identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks using Python and AWS CLI. Alongside this, you'll contribute to the ongoing development of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, helping to enhance and scale the platform as it evolves.
Location / WFH: You can work from home / remotely from anywhere in the UK or go into the London office as often as desired.
About you:
- You are degree educated in a STEM discipline from a Russell Group university.
- You have hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM), with the ability to navigate, troubleshoot and manage resources confidently.
- You have Python coding / scripting skills for automation.
- You have experience with Infrastructure as Code / IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Pulumi.
- You have experience of working with monitoring and alerting tools to track infrastructure health, interpret signals and proactively identify anomalies.
- You have a good understanding of backup strategies and RTO / RPO concepts, with experience validating recovery procedures.
- You're collaborative with great communication skills.
- It would be great to have ISO 27001 or SOC2 accreditation.
