As a Senior DevOps Engineer you'll design and build scalable, secure Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, creating reusable OpenTofu / Terraform modules, automating environment provisioning and driving best practices across development and production environments. Collaborating with engineering teams, you'll help improve platform reliability, performance and developer productivity while solving complex infrastructure challenges through automation and modern DevOps practices.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on Senior DevOps Engineer who enjoys staying close to the technology, investigating performance and operational issues, and influencing the future direction of the platform. If you're passionate about cloud engineering, infrastructure automation and building robust, scalable systems using the latest Azure technologies, you'll find plenty of opportunity to make a lasting impact while continuing to develop your technical expertise.
Location / WFH
There’s a flexible work‑from‑home hybrid model, you’ll join colleagues in the Reigate office twice a week for team meet‑ups and stakeholder meetings with the other three days work from home (please note you must be within a one hour commute of Reigate).
About you
- You have experience in a similar DevOps Engineer role within an Azure environment with a strong knowledge of AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
- You have a good understanding of IaC principles and tools such as OpenTofu, Terraform and Pulumi.
- You have experience of building and improving CI/CD pipelines for product teams.
- You have experience with cloud observability (logging, tracing, metrics, monitoring and alerting).
- You have experience with Containerisation – Azure Container Apps preferred.
- You have strong scripting skills with PowerShell and / or C# .Net coding.
- You enjoy collaboratively problem solving to provide simple solutions to complex problems.
- You’re comfortable in a senior role providing some mentoring.
