As a QA Engineering Lead you’ll join a newly formed team working on a Greenfield AI driven product to form the test strategy and introduce testing processes, policies and a “shift-left” culture. You’ll drive quality engineering strategy across a complex software platform, bringing together QA resources into a unified test function for this new team / product. Collaborating closely with engineering leadership, you will define and evolve testing strategy, frameworks, standards, and processes, ensuring robust functional and non-functional test coverage across the platform.

You'll provide technical leadership in test automation, exploratory testing and quality engineering practices, while remaining hands‑on in the design and development of scalable, production‑grade test frameworks and tooling. As a trusted authority on software quality, you will mentor and develop engineers, identify opportunities to improve testing effectiveness and champion continuous improvement across the organisation. Location / WFH: There’s a flexible work from home hybrid model; you’ll join colleagues in the Reigate office twice a week for team meet‑ups and stakeholder meetings, with the other three days work from home (you must be within a one‑hour commute of Reigate).

About you:

  • You have experience of defining QA strategy both from the ground‑up as well as continuously improving existing processes and strategy.
  • You have hands‑on experience building complex test automation solutions for complex SaaS based solutions.
  • You have experience of driving QA and test‑first approaches into complex delivery programmes.
  • You have experience of leading and growing a QA team for a project.
  • You have experience with C# test automation frameworks at all levels (unit, integration, API/system).
  • You have a good understanding of the “shift‑left” testing approach.
  • You are collaborative and pragmatic with strong stakeholder communication skills.
