Are you a Senior Software Engineer looking to escape the hustle and bustle of London and relocate to somewhere with stunning scenery and a better quality of life? You could be joining a rapidly scaling FinTech start-up based in Newcastle, progressing your career and working on complex and interesting systems in an impactful role. The company has secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client as a partner, they're creating a finance technology hub bringing a wealth of talent and experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will collaborate with a small, talented team to deliver the core trading platform within a Microsoft environment using the latest versions of C# .Net to produce high quality code. The company has ambitious growth plans, this is a great opportunity to be involved from the ground up and progress your career.
Location: You’ll join colleagues in brand new Central Newcastle offices on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday), working hours with some flexibility. The offices are well equipped and offer fantastic views across the City and the local countryside, many employees walk or cycle in (onsite showers available!), there's a diverse, social team atmosphere with many employees having recently relocated and lots of support available.
About you:
- You have achieved a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or similar technical discipline from a world top ranked / Russell Group university, backed by A*s and As at A-level.
- You’re a technologist who enjoys collaborating and problem solving, working on complex, distributed systems.
- You have expertise with modern C# .Net Core, Python skills would also be of benefit.
- You have a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices and have experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms.
- You’re excited to join a start-up in a role that you can shape and influence.
