Job Description
QA Test Automation Engineer (Python Automation) Cambridge to £50k
Do you have Python coding skills combined with Test Automation experience?
You could be joining a market leading tech company that's remote access product is used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide, working on a modern tech stack, continually learning and progressing your career in a supportive team environment.
As a QA Test Automation Engineer you will help to ensure the quality of the core technology platform; you'll identify and prepare test cases, develop these scenarios with Python automated tests and expand the automated test framework with additional features to drive them. You will also investigate test failures, analyse and verify bug fixes and review code developed by other Test Engineers.
Initially you'll focus on backend testing however, there's a variety of project based work to get involved with including cloud based web technologies, backend APIs and desktop / mobile applications, using Python to code.
You'll join a collaborative Agile team with lots of training and career development opportunities.
Location / WFH:
There's a friendly and supportive team environment, you'll join colleagues in the Cambridge office twice a month but can work from home most of the time.
About You:
- You have Python coding skills and Test Automation experience
- You have API testing experience
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are able to produce clear and concise bug reports and communicate with stakeholders
- You have the aptitude and desire to learn, Computer Science degree would be great but not necessary if you have the right skills
- It would be great if you also have a good knowledge of Networking, Full Stack Testing, Mobile Testing or Selenium – but you can pick up knowledge on the job
