Are you a Senior Software Engineer looking to escape the hustle and bustle of London and relocate to somewhere with stunning scenery and a better quality of life? You could be joining a rapidly scaling FinTech start-up based in Newcastle, progressing your career and working on complex and interesting systems in an impactful role. The company has secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client as a partner, they're creating a finance technology hub bringing a wealth of talent and experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will collaborate with a small, talented team to deliver the core trading platform within a Microsoft environment using the latest versions of C# .Net to produce high quality code. The company has ambitious growth plans, this is a great opportunity to be involved from the ground up and progress your career.
Location: You’ll join colleagues in brand new Central Newcastle offices on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday), working hours 0900-1800 with some flexibility. The offices are well equipped and offer fantastic views across the City and the local countryside, many employees walk or cycle in (onsite showers available!), there's a diverse, social team atmosphere with many employees having recently relocated and lots of support available.
About you:
- You have achieved a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or similar technical discipline from a world top ranked / Russell Group university, backed by A*s and As at A-level.
- You’re a technologist who enjoys collaborating and problem solving, working on complex, distributed systems.
- You have expertise with modern C# .Net Core, Python skills would also be of benefit.
- You have a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices and have experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms.
- You’re excited to join a start-up in a role that you can shape and influence.
