As a Lead IAM Engineer you will drive the strategy, architecture and evolution of a modern identity platform spanning Microsoft Entra ID, Okta and Active Directory. Leading a talented team of IAM engineers, you'll define engineering standards, mentor colleagues and help build a culture of technical excellence while remaining closely involved in the design and delivery of enterprise scale IAM solutions. You'll play a key role in shaping the IAM roadmap, leading architecture discussions and delivering secure, scalable platforms that support critical business services across the organisation.

Working in a fast paced Agile environment, you'll design and implement modern authentication and identity governance solutions, including SSO, MFA, lifecycle automation and application integrations using Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect and SCIM. You'll also develop automation using PowerShell and Okta Workflows, improve the resilience and scalability of the identity platform and partner closely with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud and Application teams to deliver secure, seamless user experiences.

Location / WFH: You'll join colleagues in the City office four days a week with flexibility to work from home once a week, there is also flexible hours to allow for childcare drop-offs etc.

About you:

  • You're BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • You have experience leading or mentoring engineering teams in an enterprise technology environment
  • You have strong hands-on experience engineering enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions
  • You have experience with Okta Single Sign-On (SSO), Lifecycle Management, Okta Identity Governance (OIG), experience designing and building solutions using Okta Workflows
  • You have experience working with Active Directory in complex enterprise environments
  • You have a good knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy and hybrid identity architectures
  • You have experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Azure Application Proxy or similar application proxy technologies
  • You have strong PowerShell scripting skills with a focus on automation
  • You have the ability to lead technical initiatives while remaining hands-on with engineering work
