Are you an experienced Information Security professional with financial services / trading systems experience? You could be progressing your career, working at the intersection of technology, security and governance within a fast paced Hedge Fund.
As a Senior Information Security Assurance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring security controls remain robust, effective and aligned with regulatory and client expectations, taking ownership for the London office (collaborating with colleagues in New York). Working across the business, you'll lead technical security assurance activities, managing internal and external audits, client due diligence, penetration test remediation and regulatory assessments. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Infrastructure and Risk teams to evaluate security controls, identify opportunities for improvement and drive remediation through to completion.
You'll act as the technical authority for security assurance, providing oversight across identity and access management, vulnerability management, cloud security, endpoint protection, incident management, logging and monitoring, ensuring security controls are effective, measurable and continuously improving. This is a highly visible role where you'll influence the firm's security strategy, translate regulatory requirements into practical technical controls and provide meaningful reporting on security posture, risk and compliance to senior stakeholders.
Location / WFH: You'll join colleagues in prestigious Central London offices (with onsite restaurant, gym etc.) with flexibility to work from home once a week.
About you:
- You have strong experience in Information Security, Security Assurance, IT Audit or Cyber Risk within a regulated finance environment.
- You have a deep understanding of security control frameworks, risk management and governance.
- You have experience managing internal and external security audits, client due diligence and regulatory assessments.
- You have a good knowledge of cloud security, IAM identity and access management, vulnerability management, incident response and security monitoring.
- You can assess technical controls, challenge evidence and drive remediation activities to completion.
- You have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, auditors and senior business leaders.
