Your role:
As a Backend Software Engineer you will design, develop and deliver a range of transformational projects for clients, mainly within the financial services sector and with a focus on Kafka messaging, migrating legacy systems to AWS and introducing CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments. You'll join a collaborative team with a focus on engineering best practice and continuous improvement of client systems; you will have lots of business and client exposure and continual learning and development opportunities.
Location / WFH:
There's a hybrid work from home policy with three days a week in the London, City office (or at client sites), you'll join a friendly, diverse, upbeat team.
About you:
- You have Java development skills including multi-threading and concurrency
- You have experience with SpringBoot and microservices environments
- You have a good knowledge of REST APIs
- You have experience with Kafka (or similar messaging tools)
- You have a good understanding of AWS
- You have a thorough understanding of software development and Computer Science fundamentals such as Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Design Patterns
- You are familiar with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
- You're collaborative, enjoy problem solving and interacting with clients
