As an Application Support Engineer you will provide L2/L3 support for business-critical applications across AWS and on-prem Active Directory environments (90/10). You'll monitor system health using tools like Splunk, Grafana, SolarWinds, building dashboards and optimising alerting to ensure high availability.

You’ll troubleshoot complex issues across application, integration, network, identity and infrastructure layers, leading incident triage, escalation, stakeholder communication and root cause analysis. You’ll also drive problem management by identifying trends and implementing long-term fixes to improve resilience.

The role includes supporting Microsoft licensing and billing and maintaining enterprise AV / Teams Rooms, working closely with vendors to manage SLAs and escalations. You’ll support deployments and CI/CD pipelines, automate tasks using PowerShell, Python and Terraform and handle SQL, APIs and batch processes.

You’ll also contribute to security and compliance (Defender, patching, vulnerability remediation), support audits, and maintain DR/BCP plans with regular testing. Partnering with development teams, you’ll embed operational best practices, improve observability and drive continuous improvement to reduce MTTD/MTTR and increase automation, while maintaining clear documentation and runbooks.

Location / WFH: You’ll be based full-time (Monday to Friday) in the London office per week where you’ll join a supportive, diverse team environment with a large range of facilities.

About you:

  • You have L2/L3 enterprise application support experience across cloud (AWS) and on-prem environments
  • You have advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to problem solving
  • You enjoy taking ownership, working autonomously and proactively improving systems and processes
  • You have strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, Terraform
  • You’re collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
