As a Data Centre Engineer you'll collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to design plans for new equipment deployments using data centre best practices. You'll coordinate logistical tasks across locations, including procurement, shipping, moving and keeping inventory of equipment, cabling and parts, install and configure server OS (Linux) in a PXE environment, install, cable, configure and troubleshoot different types of network and server equipment and ensure that all data centres uphold the highest standards in terms of security, organisation, documentation, safety, cleanliness and supply management.

Location: With fantastic offices based in the City, you will be part of a flat structured and open company that offers a great working environment, there's also flexibility to work from home one day a week.

About you:

  • You have strong experience of working in data centre environments with a strong understanding of data centre best practices, cabling methodology and vendor management.
  • You have a strong knowledge of networking fundamentals; including how to switch and route protocols and troubleshoot Layer 2 and 3 connectivity issues.
  • You have experience of deploying a variety of server and network hardware (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Arista, Ciena, Corning, Ortronics products).
  • You have experience of designing, deploying, testing and troubleshooting both copper and fibre cabling.
  • You have strong Linux OS experience including scripting with bash or Python for automation.
  • You're proactive and have great communication skills.
