Starting salary: £25,000 per year (negotiable)
Potential salary progression to £45,000 within 6 to 12 months, subject to promotion criteria
Additional performance incentives: £200 to £400 per week, dependent on individual results
Being good at your own job is one achievement. Helping a team perform well takes another set of skills. This opportunity gives you the practical experience, coaching and commercial understanding to start developing both.
We’re recruiting a Trainee Manager in Coventry as our business expands across the UK. You’ll begin by learning our face-to-face sales and customer acquisition campaigns, then work towards responsibility for coordinating activity, supporting colleagues and improving results.
You could be a graduate, a career changer or someone who already takes responsibility at work but hasn’t had the opportunity to progress. Previous management experience isn’t essential.
Understand the work you’ll lead
Your starting point will be direct involvement in live campaigns. You’ll learn how to approach customers professionally, understand their needs, explain services accurately and work towards agreed targets.
Alongside this, you will:
- Help prepare daily priorities and keep agreed actions moving.
- Review activity, conversion and quality measures with your manager.
- Contribute observations and practical suggestions during campaign reviews.
- Practise delivering briefings and demonstrating approved processes.
- Support new colleagues as you become confident in the work.
- Build an understanding of client relationships and operational requirements.
Leadership tasks may begin from around your fourth week, depending on readiness and with appropriate supervision.
A development path with clear expectations
Progression depends on consistent delivery, sound judgement and your ability to support others.
Trainee Manager: Develop campaign knowledge, personal performance and leadership fundamentals.
Assistant Branch Manager: Work towards broader involvement in recruitment, onboarding, performance tracking, client reporting, payroll processes and campaign budgets. The target development window is 6 to 12 months.
Branch Manager: Longer-term opportunities may include team management, hiring, client budgets, territory development and profit and loss responsibility. The target window is 12 to 18 months, subject to capability and business need.
These timeframes are development targets. Each step requires you to meet the relevant assessment criteria.
Support while you build experience
- One-to-one mentorship from experienced managers.
- Access to more than 100 hours of management training modules.
- Regular team meet-ups and networking with senior consultants.
- Fully funded international travel opportunities for qualifying top performers.
Bring ambition and follow-through
We’re looking for clear communicators who take feedback seriously, stay organised and accept responsibility for their work. Examples from employment, education, volunteering or competitive sport are all welcome.
The working schedule is Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, with additional training and development commitments explained during recruitment.
