The Opportunity

We're looking for a Creative Lead to own the creative vision, design system and UX direction across ClickTech D2C platforms, while leading and developing a talented in-house creative team. This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership. Your primary focus will be shaping the future of our D2C platforms through strong UX thinking, a clear design vision and a design system that scales. Alongside this, you'll guide the team's output across brand, motion and paid ads to ensure everything we produce is cohesive, high-quality and commercially sharp. You'll lead a team of Designers and also manage & guide contractors. This role reports directly to the Marketing Director and sits at the intersection of product, marketing and brand. You’ll be joining a well-funded, fast-growing company with ambitious targets, global reach, and the opportunity to grow as fast as the business does. If you lead with craft, think in systems, and know how to bring a team with you, this is for you.

What You’ll Own

  • UX Leadership and D2C Platform Vision
    • Own the UX strategy and design vision for ClickTech HUB, defining how the platform looks, feels and functions for our D2C audience
    • Build and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency across all platform touchpoints and supports future product development
    • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to embed strong UX thinking into the product roadmap, from discovery through to delivery
    • Champion the user experience across the business, using data, research and insight to inform design decisions and platform improvements
    • Define the future creative direction for the platform, balancing commercial objectives with an exceptional learner experience
  • Creative Strategy and Brand Coherence
    • Set and maintain the creative standard across all output, ensuring consistency in visual language, tone and quality across B2B and D2C
    • Translate business and marketing objectives into clear creative briefs and compelling design solutions
    • Establish and evolve brand guidelines and visual frameworks that the whole team can work within
    • Ensure creative output across all channels, from paid ads and landing pages to in-app and educational content, is coherent, on-brand and conversion-focused
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Line manage Senior UX Designers, a Senior Designer and a Motion Designer, running regular 1:1s, setting clear objectives and supporting career development
    • Create a culture of creative excellence, constructive feedback and continuous improvement within the team
    • Set clear briefs, review output to a high standard and create the conditions for the team to do their best work
    • Work collaboratively with contractors, aligning their output to brand and creative standards without direct line management responsibility
    • Build team capacity and capability over time, identifying skill gaps and making the case for resource where needed
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Marketing team to align creative output with campaign and growth priorities
    • Collaborate with Product and Engineering on platform UX, ensuring design and development are tightly integrated
    • Partner with Lifecycle and Customer Growth teams to ensure creative supports retention and conversion goals across the funnel
    • Represent the creative function in cross-functional planning, bringing a clear point of view on what great looks like
  • Creative Production and Quality
    • Oversee the end-to-end creative production process, from brief to delivery, across multiple concurrent workstreams
    • Maintain and evolve editorial and design workflows, asset libraries and production standards the team can operate to at pace
    • Actively embed AI tools into the creative workflow from ideation and rapid prototyping to asset generation and design QA and build team capability and confidence in using them.
    • Ensure creative output meets brief, deadline and quality bar consistently, stepping in to support or redirect where needed
    • Manage creative prioritisation across competing demands from marketing, product and commercial teams
  • Performance and Creative Effectiveness
    • Work with Product, Paid Media and Growth teams to understand how creative performs across channels and use those insights to improve output
    • Establish a feedback loop between creative performance data and design decisions, moving away from gut instinct toward evidence-based iteration
    • Report to the Marketing Director on creative output, team capacity and design system progress with clear recommendations

What we’re Looking For

  • Proven experience leading UX in a SaaS, EdTech or subscription platform - this is a core requirement for the role
  • Strong background in D2C or consumer-facing product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates platform thinking at scale
  • Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience, with the ability to coach, mentor and hold a high creative bar
  • Experience owning and evolving a design system end to end, from foundations through to component libraries and governance
  • Ability to think strategically about UX and creative direction while staying close enough to the work to lead by example
  • Confident working across both B2B and D2C creative requirements without losing focus or diluting quality
  • Strong collaborator who can influence without authority and build productive relationships with Product, Engineering and Marketing
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of how design decisions impact acquisition, conversion and retention
  • Experience working with motion, paid and brand creative disciplines, with enough fluency to direct and give meaningful feedback across all
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure and able to manage competing priorities without dropping the quality bar
  • Bonus: Experience working with AI-driven platforms, creator economies or online education products

Why You’ll Like it Here:

  • Autonomy & Flexibility: Our remote, flexible setup means you have significant control over when and how you deliver your outcomes. Our work environment allows you to manage your work-life balance effectively.
  • A Culture of Impact: Your work won’t sit on a shelf. In a scale-up, every successful project and decision directly affects our growth trajectory, giving you a powerful sense of purpose.
  • A Passionate Team: Our commitment to only hiring great people means we have a team who care deeply about what they do. They’re passionate about their respective fields, the potential of ClickTech and the mission to put business growth into the hands of everyone.
  • Working at Pace: We’ve got big goals and we’re determined to meet them. We’re agile flexible and dynamic, capable of making quick decisions to propel us forward. You won’t be bored here.

Why we might not be for you:

  • Our culture is high-performance and outcome-focused. It’s not the right fit for everyone.
  • Intolerant of Low Accountability: If you prefer tasks over outcomes, or if you shy away from being held accountable for results, the pressure of our transparent metrics and pace will be uncomfortable.
  • Requires Self-Direction: If you need constant, real-time supervision or thrive only in a traditional, in-person office environment, you may struggle with the self-motivated nature of our work environment.
  • High Velocity, High Challenge: If you prefer a slow, methodical pace, or if you struggle to accept and deliver honest challenge and feedback, you’ll find the environment too demanding. We move fast and we expect you to adapt quickly.
  • Focus on Performance, Not Effort: We celebrate great effort, but we reward impact. If you expect success to be defined merely by hours worked rather than measurable results, our environment will not meet your expectations.

What You’ll Get

  • A high-impact creative leadership role in one of the UK's most exciting SaaS and EdTech scale-ups
  • The opportunity to shape the design vision of a platform used by over 50,000 businesses across 135+ countries
  • Real ownership of a design system and D2C platform UX from day one
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus
  • Work alongside a smart, creative and mission-driven team
  • Remote-first working with flexibility.
  • The Gift of the 5th: smash your work in 4 days, get the 5th day off.
  • Perks & Benefits
  • Remote working £150 home office setup allowance

  • Family-friendly, inclusion-conscious policies
  • Personal development and career progression
