The Learning Team at ClickHouse is growing fast as more and more users discover the power of ClickHouse and need to understand how to use it effectively. As a member of a small team, you will have a noticeable impact as you own and collaborate on many different projects involving the development and delivery of training content. We deliver training in many formats, including: on-demand at ClickHouse Academy, live online training via Zoom, in-person sessions for customers, and training at community events and conferences. We are also building a new certification program to recognize ClickHouse subject matter experts.

What you will be doing:

  1. Developing ClickHouse training courses for on-demand and instructor-led formats, including slides, videos, and hands-on labs.
  2. Designing new training courses for various user personas, collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to determine content needs.
  3. Working with other Curriculum Developers to produce high-quality on-demand training content for the ClickHouse Academy.
  4. Teaching ClickHouse courses virtually and in-person for public and private audiences.
  5. Assisting in writing and deploying certification exams for the upcoming ClickHouse Certification program.
  6. Establishing a community presence through social media and delivering training and talks at conferences.
  7. Traveling to meetups, conferences, and customer sites to deliver training and promote ClickHouse.

What you bring along:

  • A self-motivated attitude and desire to complete projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
  • Proven experience developing curriculum for technical audiences like software engineers and database developers.
  • Experience teaching audiences of various sizes and backgrounds.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems, and big data.
  • High responsibility, ownership, and accountability.

Bonus points:

  • 5+ years of curriculum development for databases or distributed systems.
  • Experience with ClickHouse in production environments.
  • Experience with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience building software certification exams.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, support, product, and development teams.
  • Technical degree (e.g., Computer Science or related field).
