We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation.
The position involves delivering items across different routes, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and providing exceptional service to clients. Job involves delivery of patient medications to their home addresses, as well as delivery of personal paperwork and documents to doctors' practices and nursing and residential care homes. Must be very polite, courteous and professional.
Normal working hours are between 4.30pm to 8.30pm.
Duties:- Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at designated destinations.
- Verify delivery orders and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and responsive during deliveries.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving and knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Organised with the ability to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently.
