Workshop AssistantWe currently have a fantastic opportunity for aWorkshop Assistant to join a leading and growing manufacturing company based near Christchurch.IntroductionThe primary role of the Workshop Assistant willinvolve supporting across the manufacturing site which a variety of duties.Responsibilities:Keeping all manufacturing areas clean, with a regular cleaning schedule. Keep buildings and site in a clean and orderly condition including yard maintenance (hedge trimming, debris removal)Ensuring the entire site is well maintained, notifying management of the need for repairs and general maintenance tasks to be carried out. Waste management including shop floor general waste, recycling waste, metal swarf management including segregation and hazardous waste (oil).Drain and clean slurry from machines annually.Forklift operation move goods, materials and scrap/swarf bins within the factory and yard, loading or storage area. Work to all H&S procedures and processesIdeal Experience:The ideal candidate will be happy to get stuck in with a variety of duties, be a self motivator.
