Working closely with advisers on complex advice cases and supporting the wider support team with technical queries, training, and client queries.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and write advice reports covering a broad range of financial planning topics including pensions, offshore bonds, and specialist tax-efficient investments such as Business Relief, EIS, and VCTs.
- Conduct technical research and analysis of clients' existing products and investments, presenting findings in detailed advice reports.
- Work collaboratively with financial planners to create bespoke planning solutions for new and existing clients.
- Discuss client objectives with financial planners, identifying where further necessary client information is required to prepare robust advice reports.
- Draft research documents to explain complex technical issues in a simple manner.
- Assist in compiling financial planning and investment proposals, taking responsibility for any additional bespoke work being proposed such as cash-flow modelling.
- Work alongside the support team to provide technical assistance relevant to any new business or servicing of existing clients.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of paraplanners and graduates.
- Liaise with third-party stakeholders such as accountants, lawyers, and service providers where relevant to provide/obtain information.
