We are actively recruiting for a Shipping Manager to join this fast paced Watford based company. Day to day duties include working closely with the factory to ensure that orders are sent correctly and in a timely fashion. Utilising your shipping knowledge to have the best processes/procedures for the shipping of goods. Develop relationships across the company to ensure that timelines are met in a calm and methodical manner.
You will be responsible for checking prices on new orders sent, arranging paperwork for FOB shipments, and looking at overall potential cost savings that can be made by reviewing processes. You will be reporting to one of the Directors.
You will utilise your substantial knowledge of the shipping sector to organise logistics/shipping. You do not have any direct reports so need to be self contained. You will have excellent negotiation skills, be proactive, have a strong eye for detail, and can overall build long standing relationships.
In return the company offers a salary of £45,000 to £50,000pa plus bonus and a number of benefits. This role is office based Monday to Friday. This is a challenging but fulfilling role so apply now...
