My client based in Lichfield is currently recruiting for an experienced Shipping Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis working Monday-Friday 10:00-16:00 paying Β£12.21 per hour weekly pay.
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Administrator with a strong background in freight and logistics to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end freight booking processes, liaising with carriers and freight forwarders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. A solid understanding of Incoterms and international shipping documentation is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and book international and domestic shipments with freight forwarders and couriers (air, sea, and road).
- Monitor and track shipments, proactively chasing up ETAs, and updating internal teams accordingly.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and provide timely updates to relevant departments.
- Liaise with internal departments (sales, purchasing, production) to align shipping schedules with business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to customs, import/export regulations, and Incoterms 2020.
- Resolve any shipment-related issues or delays by communicating effectively with freight partners.
- Support general administrative duties within the shipping department.
