Working in the gas sector as a EC&I Engineer expert offers a number of unique and rewarding benefits such as being technically challenged and exposure to functional safety and ATEX. You’ll face challenges such as working legacy systems and SIL Compliance as well as trying to solve and work to tight commissioning schedules As our Senior EC&I Engineer, you'll be a technical leader and go-to expert on the delivery of automated systems and control solutions. You'll work across a wide range of engineering tasks and technologies. Job Responsibilities: * Leading the electrical, instrumentation and control design for bespoke gas systems * Specifying and selecting instrumentation, valves, gas analysers, ATEX-rated equipment, and safety devices * Developing PLC/HMI/SCADA systems—ideally using Siemens TIA Portal or Ignition SCADA * Driving commissioning activities including FAT, SAT, and site-based handover alongside clients and project teams * Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations: IEC, BS EN, ATEX, SIL, DSEAR * Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams—mechanical, process, safety and software—to deliver fully integrated systems Experience required: * Proven track record in industrial automation and process control—ideally in gas, chemical, or high-integrity environments: * Strong knowledge of electrical system design and control panel architec…
