Our sea and air freight client based in Essex are currently looking to appoint an experienced Seafreight Export Operator to join their NVOCC team, working Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 5:00pm with no weekends required! As Seafreight Export Operator, on a day-to-day basis you\’ll be handling files from start to finish. You\’ll be liaising with customers, customs authorities and third-party contacts. Ensuring customs clearance documents are in order, collecting relevant documentation ready for release/delivery of cargo, invoicing and securing payments. Seafreight Export Operator duties include: Taking bookings for both LCL / FCLQuotations – LCL / FCL / Break bulk / RO -ROCustoms EntriesArranging Haulage / CollectionsPlanning weekly groupage loadsRaising documentation and sending Pre Alerts – Bills of Lading and InvoicingDepot transfers We\’re keen to speak to people who have operational experience handling groupage / consolidation, especially those with knowledge of export operations or experience of submitting shipping instructions, submitting Customs Entries, Submitting VGM, assigning UCR\’s, Closing MUCR\’s, and submitting SARS documents to South African Agents.
