The predicted salary is between 46000 - 58000 £ per year.

Base Location: Flexible Scotland. We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around Scotland, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness.

Salary: £54,952 - £64,738 + car / car allowance + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available.

The role: We have an opportunity for a new role of SCADA Specialist to join our team in supporting our Net Zero goals. Reporting directly to Real Time System Lead Engineers, you would co-ordinate the configuration of Substation Control Systems and ensure the efficient delivery of work activities on our transmission network substation projects. There is significant opportunity in this role to develop your skillset and learn about new applications and technologies.

You will:

  • Develop the substation I/O schedules following top-down engineering fundamentals and produce the substation control system configuration files.
  • Plan, schedule, resource and successful delivery of SCADA configurations.
  • Liaise with Network Engineering to identify incorrect or non-compliant signals and data.
