Your new role involves being part of a dedicated team responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to the inmates at HMP Lowdham Grange.

Role: Band 6 - Registered Mental Health Nurses

Working hours: Shifts negotiable with the service

Start Date: ASAP - ongoing, rota available until July

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments of inmates, identifying their mental health needs and writing appropriate care plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential risks to individuals and others, including self-harm, suicide, or harm to others, and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
  • Administer and monitor prescribed medications.
  • Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations, such as self-harm or acute mental health episodes.

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Hold current prison security clearance
