Gap personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to produce fine-limit, detailed sheet metal components using both CNC and manual press brakes. This role involves working on small to large batch production within a fast-paced, high-quality engineering environment. Location: Southend on sea Hours: 39 Hours: Mon – Thurs: 8:00 – 17:00 (30 mins lunch) Fri: 8:00 – 13:00 Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £16.85 DOE Main duties: – but not limited too * Set up and operate CNC press brakes, including Amada HFE, EG4010, and HFB models. * Manufacture precision sheet metal parts to fine tolerances. * Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. * Use precision measuring tools such as vernier callipers, protractors, and height gauges. * Operate and maintain fabrication equipment including fly-presses, guillotines, and drilling machines. * Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with company housekeeping standards. * Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures. * Support colleagues and assist with tasks across Assembly, Machine Shop, and Fabrication departments as required.
