Platform/Application Support Analyst, with Linux support experience, is needed to work with our Higher education client within their agile product team supporting key digital platforms. This role combines support responsibilities with hands-on involvement in lightweight development and release management activities across a modern cloud-based infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing first-line support through a service management ticketing system, triaging and resolving issues from internal users. Managing incidents, changes, and capacity issues in line with ITIL best practices.
Essential Experience
- Solid grounding in Linux systems and AWS services, with some scripting ability in Python and a passion for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of Linux/LAMP environments (CLI, system services, user management)
- Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.)
- Basic to intermediate Python scripting skills
- Familiarity with MySQL or similar relational databases
- Understanding of ITIL practices for service support
