Anderson Knight are recruiting for our client based in Govan who are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis. The role is office based and offers a competitive salary of £25-28,000 per annum.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Administer Payroll, completing from start to end via Sage 50, ensuring that all employees are paid on time and correctly.
- To accurately input and process all relevant data required for Payroll, including salaries, overtime/shift/call-out payments, bonuses, benefit deductions, voluntary deductions, maternity/paternity allowances, sickness.
- Manage all leave of absence requests (maternity, paternity, adoption, parental leave, unpaid leave, and jury service).
- Provide day to day Payroll and administration support in a timely and accurate manner, dealing with all queries raised.
- Process Advances and salary payments for changes received beyond cut-off date.
- Ensure all statutory returns are made to relevant authorities on time, e.g. HMRC, Pension Providers, P11Ds, P60's, EPS files etc.
- Calculate holiday pay, SMP, SSP, SPP.
- Manage and process 3rd Party payments eg. Arrestments & Direct Earnings Attachments.
- Process payments for expenses and business mileage.
- Assist with Payroll audits as required.
- Maintaining employees' information.
- Maintain and update Time and Attendance system.
- Complete month end journals as required.
