Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN/HLTA's/tutors/teachers. We are currently recruiting for Specialist Outreach Tutors to provide face to face provision to students who need access to Alternative provision, this could be due to SEN/SEMH so experience in this is required. The role is to start ASAP.

Rate of pay £27 - £33 per hour

Hours - Tuition takes place between 0830am and 1630pm Monday to Friday

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
  • Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
  • Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD.
  • Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
  • Prepared to work face to face within the community.

Requirements:

  • Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
  • QTS status.
