Up to £550 per day (Inside IR35) for 4 Months in Wokingham - 2 days per week.

Key skillset:

  • Proactive identification and resolution of performance bottlenecks.
  • Support for strategic data initiatives with deep PostgreSQL domain knowledge.
  • Enhancements - Improved Observability: Manage metrics, alerts and dashboard changes & improvements.
  • Incident Response & Reliability: Troubleshoot issues or outages; identify and remediate causes of issues.
  • Enhance high availability: Support technologies like EDB Postgres Distributed (PGD).
  • Manage disaster recovery: Maintain DR playbooks and test failovers regularly in ORT.
  • Performance & Tuning: Query tuning; analyse slow queries using EXPLAIN, pg_stat_statements, and index usage.
  • Capacity planning: Monitor and forecast resource needs (storage, CPU, memory, IOPS).
  • Connection pooling: Tuning to handle large numbers of client connections.
  • BAU Operations: Continuously monitor database health.
  • Respond to alerts: Investigate slow queries, replication lag, disk I/O issues, or memory pressure.
