Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Oceanfreight Pricing Specialist for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.
Job Description:
- Continually promote new and existing customers; to up-sell services and increase business revenue compared to the customers previous year’s trading.
- Produce quotations, proposals and RFQs (Ocean FCL, LCL, projects etc) for customers and other overseas offices.
- Follow up quotes and proposals over email and telephone.
- Support with marketing through the gathering of ocean news and content.
- Share responsibilities for the Commercial Support Team Inbox.
- Analyse data and identify areas requiring attention or areas that we can provide added value.
- Gain detailed understanding of Ocean services offered, through discussions with carriers and co-loaders, building relationship with each.
- Be involved in negotiations with partners to drive efficiency and cost improvement.
- Update the quote log on a timely manner with as much information as possible.
- Update local files and pricing tools with the up-to-date market rates.
- Assist with contract management, pricing/tariff updates, & commercial documentation.
- If required, assist local sales, joining customer service and sales call visits.
