We are recruiting for an NPI/Development Engineer to join an established Manufacturing business based in the Dudley area. The NPI Engineer will create long term relationships with customers ensuring that expectations are met also improving efficiency/effectiveness with strong skills in service delivery.

As an NPI/Development Engineer you will be required to:

  • Report activities to customers and stakeholders providing weekly status updates
  • Create an enhanced NPI process that coordinates sample process from start to finish
  • Work on projects to support the optimisation of energy and ensuring that objectives for sustainable manufacturing are met
  • Coordinate sample process from start to finish
  • Work closely with tooling engineers, external suppliers, technical resource and contractors
  • Support concepts and strategies for the automisation and digitisation of work booking and work flow
  • Maintain the development of a BOM bill of materials and scope for ERP manufacturing systems that can integrate data management
  • Review Product documentation (Workflow documentation, Production Data)
  • Identify and support procurement of new tools required for new projects/production
  • Ensure a smooth transition of any new products
  • Review best practices and implement learnings
  • Promote lean manufacturing/continuous improvement tools where needed
  • Coordinate and maintain QC systems
