Our client is a Main Contractor with a proven track record of nationwide coverage of various projects. Specialising in MEP install, they are seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager to join their team in Devon.
Responsibilities
- On-Site Delivery of MEP Works: Manage day-to-day MEP installation activities across multiple hospital zones, ensuring works are delivered to programme, scope, and quality standards. Support the MEP Lead in driving progress and addressing site challenges.
- Supervision of MEP Subcontractors: Oversee and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and public health subcontractors on-site. Ensure clear work fronts are provided, daily activity is tracked, and site logistics are effectively managed within live or semi-live hospital environments.
- Health & Safety Oversight: Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring RAMS are in place and enforced across all MEP trades. Champion safe systems of work in accordance with CDM and NHS Trust requirements.
- Progress Reporting & Interface Management: Provide regular progress updates to the MEP Lead, highlighting key risks, blockers, and resource issues. Interface closely with construction managers, structural trades, and design teams to ensure coordinated delivery.
- Inspection, Testing & QA Compliance: Manage inspections and ensure QA checklists are completed.
