Mane are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join their client, a leading Engineering contractor to work on Life Science projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience within the Life Science or Data Centre sector.

  • Support the engineering requirements by managing and liaising with key project stakeholders (Client design team, Main Contractor, Suppliers, Subcontractors, etc.)
  • Review and become fully familiar with Design/IFC specifications and drawings to understand the full scope of electrical works.
  • Contribute to the coordination process to transform design intent into construction-ready installation drawings via BIM personnel, ensuring compliance with specifications and adherence to schedule priorities.
  • Understand and track the project schedule to ensure all engineering activities (e.g., procurement, approvals) align with and support the construction program.
  • Create and issue technical submittals, track approvals, and liaise with vendors for technical queries and value engineering opportunities.
  • Manage electrical material procurement using the Engineering Materials Report (EMR), including take-offs, identifying lead times, and site delivery schedules.
  • Oversee procurement and tracking of electrical equipment for timely delivery to site.
  • Ensure that all electrical installations meet project specifications and QA/QC benchmarks, including participation in pre-agreed benchmarking processes.
