Having recruited the most recent contractors for this company I can tell you that the likelihood of contract extensions is highly likely.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- The role is the high-level concept design and calculations of Mechanical systems taken from client specifications.
- Once you have understood the specification from the client you will be required to specify the Mechanical systems and perform calculations – using excel and Mathcad.
- You will be checking and performing calculations regarding structural loadings, fabrications, ducting and air flow loadings, pitch, heave and roll calculations for offshore applications.
- You will be carrying out concept design and engineering thinking regarding cost reduction, weight reduction and design for manufacture - how can it be improved.
