Job DescriptionLead EstimatorLocation: St. Pauls, LondonSalary: Negotiable, depending on experienceSalter Grange are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Estimator to take charge of overseeing and mentoring two skilled estimators as well as your own projects. This is a pivotal role with strong influence over project success, pricing strategy, and commercial risk management.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of accurate, timely, and competitive estimates across multiple projectsReview and oversee estimates prepared by junior estimators, ensuring consistency and accuracyWork closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and deliverablesManage tender submissions, including take-offs, subcontractor inquiries, and pricing schedulesDevelop and refine estimating tools, databases, and best practicesCoach and support the growth of the estimating team through leadership and technical mentorshipAnalyse past performance data to improve cost prediction and competitivenessWhat We’re Looking ForExperience in estimating, ideally within a main contractor covering a range of projectsStrong leadership and mentoring skills with previous team oversig…
