Are you an experienced IT Infrastructure Designer ready to bring your expertise to a dynamic, forward-thinking consultancy? We're currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist AV, IT, and Security design practice that plays a critical role in some of the world's most prestigious construction, fit-out, and refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth and project demand, they are looking to appoint a talented IT Physical Infrastructure Designer to join their consultancy group in London. This is a technically varied and rewarding opportunity, offering exposure to both UK and international developments across commercial, hospitality, workplace, and high-end residential sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with end clients to establish clear IT briefs and define technology requirements
- Develop and coordinate technical documentation and IT design drawings
- Design and specify Structured Cabling Systems and IT Comms Spaces including related M&E and architectural elements
- Advise on physical and logical network architecture, voice systems, and unified communications
- Collaborate with design teams to deliver infrastructure strategies aligned to RIBA work stages
- Manage competitive tender processes and oversee contractor delivery
- Review and approve technical submittals, conduct site inspections, and manage commissioning and handover
- Contribute to technology strategy, smart building discussions, and future-ready IT infrastructure planning
