Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Preparing, negotiating and arranging the execution of all agreements required to facilitate trading relationships with global counterparties, and to provide legal advice and ancillary services as necessary for the completion of this task. Actively researching relevant legal subjects such as Contract Law and other ISDA and industry material, and attending internal and external training organised by the company.

Duties include:

  • Negotiating agreements (sometimes under a foreign legal system, where appropriate), including preparing and submitting draft documents to clients before negotiation and execution of final original documents and any subsequent amendments thereto.
  • Undertaking due diligence before and after post completion of agreements, e.g. commissioning and reviewing of legal opinions and supporting documents.
  • Creating new standard template agreements and updating existing templates.
