This charity delivers a vital home energy support service, helping individuals manage their energy use and bills. Full training will be provided to set you up for success in the role.
What you'll be doing:
- Offering advice and practical support to help people save energy and manage their bills
- Installing small energy-saving measures, such as low-energy light bulbs and draught-proofing
- Supporting clients with switching or changing bills to save money
- Referring people to other helpful support services when needed
You'll be based at the Barrow office but will also travel across the region, including Westmorland and Furness (Barrow-in-Furness, Millom, South Lakeland, and Penrith). Access to your own vehicle is essential, and mileage is paid at £0.45 per mile. Typically, you'll complete 35 visits per day (e.g., 5 if all visits are in Barrow).
Hours and Contract:
- Options for full-time (37 hours) or part-time (30 hours) working
- Monday to Friday, typically 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (with some flexibility)
- Fixed-term contract until 28th February, with potential to extend
