We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to adults in the community. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being of people by providing responsive care in their homes including people nearing end of their life. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, personal care, medication support, and companionship.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting, while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Assist with safe repositioning and use of mobility equipment (profiling beds, slide sheets).
- Promote and protect the dignity, privacy, and preferences of those in care.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and promoting healthy nutrition.
- Support with medication administration in line with care plans.
- Help with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Offer companionship, dignity-focused support and emotional support, encouraging social interaction.
- Apply skin care protocols and maintain skin integrity.
- Support individuals with mobility needs, using appropriate equipment as required and to work as a team for scheduled visits.
