The hardware team consists of a group of highly motivated electrical, electronic and mechanical engineers with a wealth of experience. Projects are focussed on providing practical solutions to real world scenarios. If you have a strong electronics background, good organisational skills and the type of person who likes to see their efforts result in products with a day-to-day use then we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and oversight of all hardware development activities.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams and production in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects.
- Ensure that the hardware team maintains an awareness of current and new technologies.
- Participate in the development of product roadmaps.
- Ensure that the team remains focussed on delivery of projects that will meet or exceed customers’ expectations.
- Work with project managers and sales teams to provide time estimates for development activities.
- Delivery of projects which are on time and to budget.
- Ensure the development of the team competencies to meet the needs of the business.
- Support the professional development of staff.
- Use continuous improvement techniques with a focus on fact-based problem solving to improve efficiency and productivity of the hardware team.
