Title: Generator Mechanic Hours: 40x hours per week (Mon to Fri) Start: ASAP Location: Swindon The Role We are currently seeking a dedicated Generator Mechanic / Mechanical Fitter to join our team at the Equipment Support Facility. Reporting to the Spares and Repair Manager, you will play a pivotal role in inspecting equipment returning from loan and ensuring Portable Electrical Generation equipment meets safety standards for field reuse. Your responsibilities will include producing survey reports, conducting maintenance and servicing, providing technical support to other trades, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities * Complete Generator Maintenance and Servicing within contracted timeframes * Provide technical advice and support to other trades regarding fault investigation and generator-related matters. * Conduct training and mentoring of apprentices. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. * Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Engineering Hygiene, Risk Assessments, and safe working practices in a hazardous environment. * Undertake any other reasonable tasks aligned with your knowledge, experience, and position.
