We are currently looking for a General Hand to join our growing Facilities Team at an Alcester based Manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of offices, toilets, canteen, workshop, and communal areas.
- Refill toiletries and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Monitor and manage stock levels for cleaning materials.
- Follow COSHH guidelines when handling cleaning products.
- Complete minor repairs (e.g. unclogging sinks, replacing toilet seats).
- Conduct regular inspections and carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of plant machinery.
- Carry out general repair tasks including painting, basic plumbing, joinery, and furniture assembly.
- Undertake grounds maintenance (e.g. mowing, trimming, litter collection).
- Transport tools and equipment using company vehicles (driving licence required).
To be successful you must demonstrate:
- Strong organisational and housekeeping skills.
- Understanding of COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
- Basic maintenance experience across a range of tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
- Familiarity with health & safety and RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements).
