Position: Environmental Specialist  Rate: £400 Indicative Outside IR35 Location: Birmingham End Date: Mid September 2025 Start date: ASAP Working Arrangements: Remote    People Group is looking to recruit an Environmental Specialist from a Network Rail background to work for a Leading Rail Consultancy. Responsibilities: Role shall be for environmental advisors/managers to provide technical support and advice to the project delivery teams supporting the development and delivery projects on-site. E-advisors shall be required to identify risk and develop the systems appropriate to manage environmental risk. The Network Rail (NR) HS2 Technical assurance projects supported are compliant with the HS2 environmental minimum requirements (EMRs), Meet Network Rail environmental standards and; Ensure the required GRIP stage deliverables are met.To be successful in this position, we’re looking for some who has; Degree in an environmental discipline and professional membership of an environmental institution such as IEMA Experience of working on Rail Delivery projects Must have either contractor or client side experience within the rail sector “People Group is an equal opportunity employer.
