Electrical Design Engineer

Job DescriptionJob Summary: The role involves designing and managing electrical and mechanical building services to meet client requirements while delivering projects on budget and schedule.Key Responsibilities: – Collaborate with clients to develop a detailed brief for electrical and mechanical services and produce a clear report demonstrating understanding of their needs. – Conduct options appraisals and create reports that justify recommendations for client approval. – Lead engineers and graduates, guiding them on program delivery. – Work effectively with the design team, including Quantity Surveyors, Architects, and Engineers, to ensure the project aligns with client expectations. – Produce design reports with drawings and specifications. – Oversee the tender process to select appropriate contractors. – Monitor on-site activities to ensure quality and progress in construction. – Implement cost controls and advise on project finances to maintain budget. – Validate the commissioning process to ensure compliance with specifications. – Guide on maintenance manuals provided by contractors. – Ensure a smooth handover from contractors, verifying the final construction meets requirements. – Review safety and risk assessments under relevant regulations. – Stay updated on industry knowledge to provide the best client advice. – Mentor and train undergraduates, graduates, and engineers.<s…
