EHS Engineer/Advisor

Zenith People are working with our client who are recruiting for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join their team at an Upper Tier COMAH site. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, COMAH regulations, and industry standards, while fostering a culture of safety across manufacturing operations. The EHS Advisor will play a key role in risk management, emergency preparedness, occupational health, and safety training. Key Responsibilities As a Safety Engineer, you will: Fire Safety & Emergency Preparedness * Coordinate fire drills and emergency response training to ensure site readiness. * Monitor follow-up actions and continuous improvement in emergency preparedness. Occupational Health Surveillance * Maintain a health surveillance schedule and liaise with occupational health providers. * Track employee assessments, ensuring risk mitigation for occupational hazards. COSHH & MSDS Management * Audit chemical inventory and ensure compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) requirements. * Support risk control and hazard awareness related to ink and solvent processes. Chemical Awareness & Storage * Deliver chemical handling and segregation training. * Audit chemical/waste storage in production and R&D areas and assist in SOP development.
