The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is seeking a Directed Pathways Coach (DPC) to support the success of the Directed Pathways Programme. You’ll engage with the curriculum area of the pathway: Teachers, Community Support Officers, Pastoral Tutors, and the wider community where appropriate.

Alongside curriculum delivery and learning inside and outside the classroom, you’ll provide 1:1 or small group work to foster student wellbeing, resilience and progress across the curriculum areas to create opportunities for learners to access education. The DPC will support the promotion of a safe and inclusive environment, implementing strategies that reduce barriers to learning and encourage a positive learning environment.

The role could also include supporting learners who are Looked After, NEET, attended alternative provisions or have been out of education for periods of time.

As our DPC, we’d like you to hold a level 2/3 Certificate or Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools/FE (or an equivalent) and participated in recent and relevant CPD with an awareness of academic quality standards. You’ll have experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or disrupted education with knowledge of EHCP processes and adapting learning materials with experience of carrying out Safeguarding procedures.

Able to support, motivate and empathise with students, you will play a crucial role in their educational journey.
