Asempa Ltd publishes a long-established newsletter called Africa Confidential. We publish both online and in print. We pride ourselves on being the leading source of contemporary analysis on political, economic and security events and challenges in continental Africa.
We seek a part-time appointee who can regularly support the Subscriptions Manager and take the reins when she is away. The Marketing Manager and Retention Manager are also available to assist, so you will have colleagues to query things with as and when necessary.
The Subscription role requires the use of a Filemaker Pro database to issue invoices, maintain records, and manage digital connectivity. It isn’t particularly complicated and full training will be given, but clearly some IT experience will be important.
You will also be assisting in researching contact details of potential new subscribers and helping to build the prospective subscribers database and sending out timely communications.
In short, we seek an all-rounder with reasonable IT skills and a positive outlook. Knowledge of Africa is an asset, but not a requirement.
We are very flexible on times worked. Could be to fit in with another job share, or school hours.
