A client within the Public Sector based in West Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Building/Quantity Surveyor to join their Place Directorate as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a building surveying / construction environment.The RoleKey purpose of the role is to provide technical expertise on all aspects of building maintenance and surveying, including preparation of detailed specifications, planning and monitoring work, and contributing towards the Asset Management Plan.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Acting as Supervising Officer to ensure high quality standards in building works and associated services.• Preparing detailed specifications for allocated projects, undertaking preparatory, planning and monitoring work.• Carrying out stock condition surveys and contributing to the Asset Management Plan and Investment Strategy.• Providing specialist advice on structural defects, damp, timber infestations, and compliance issues.• Delivering estimating and quantity surveying functions for a range of contractual agreements.• Managing specialist works, contracts, and planned maintenance schemes.The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require:…
