A well-established manufacturer of sheet metal products based in Thetford, Norfolk, is seeking a CAD / CAM Engineer - Sheet Metal. The successful candidate will join a small team of Engineers and take responsibility for CAM programming, design, and nesting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical/Sheet Metal Design Engineer to advance their career.

Position Overview:
  • Joining the design team and programming team to assist with nesting, CAM programming, and streamlining processes.
  • Liaising closely with the production team to ensure programs are uploaded to machines correctly.
  • Preparing drawings/programmes for manufacture.
  • Liaising with external manufacturing suppliers.
  • Adhering to the company quality standards and health and safety policy.
Position Requirements:
  • Experience in sheet metal/CAM engineering role or similar.
  • Proficient with 3D CAD Software such as Inventor, Solidworks, Creo. Solidworks and/or RADAN or TruTops is advantageous.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing is desirable.
  • Experience with Trumph machinery is a distinct advantage.
