Due to accelerated growth we’re looking for an additional Cable / Harness Technician to join our team, initially on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract. This exciting opportunity is based from our state of the art 64 acre facility in rural Bedfordshire and benefits from a 4 day working week (Mon – Thu).
As our Cable / Harness Technician you will be responsible for our Cable and Harness manufacture working from drawings and engineering instructions. You’ll demonstrate competent and safe use of all hand tools, jigs, fixtures and measuring tools. Working with support from the engineering group you’ll provide a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on low volume high value hardware.
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
- A comprehensive range of Electrical skills with previous experience in similar roles.
- Cable / Harness installation and routing / connecting.
- Current IPC certification or has previously held (IPC620 / J Standard).
- Ability to solder to IPC standards.
- Ability to interpret drawings and work from written instructions, specifications, procedures, schematics, and engineering drawings.
